What information is stored on the chip in the Belgian eID card?

On the chip, you will find the following information, visually invisible but electronically readable
- the same information as legible on the card
- the address of the card holder
- the authentication- and signature keys
- the authentication- and signature certificates
- the certificate authorities used for issuing the certificates
- information to authenticate the card
- information to secure the electronic data
- information to activate the qualified certificates
