e-Signing

What do I need to start using e-Signing?

In order to verify a Certipost e-Signing signature, you only need to have a PC equipped with Internet Explorer 6 (or higher) or Firefox 1.5 (or higher). To create Certipost e-Signing signatures, you need:

• A valid Certipost e-Signing code. These codes can be bought in the Certipost webshop.
• A PC equipped with Internet Explorer 6 (or higher) or Firefox 1.5 (or higher).
• A Qualified Certificate on a Secure Signature Creation Device (SSCD) that you can access from your PC. To access the certificate from your PC, you will need to install a smartcard reader, driver and/or eID middleware depending on the type of certificate and SSCD).
• Your browser needs to accept cookies from https://connect.e-signing.be.
• A software component from Certipost. To install this software, please follow the instructions below.
  • Install e-Signing plug-in in Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP
  • Install e-Signing plug-in in Internet Explorer 7 on Windows Vista
  This requires Administrator rights on windows PC's. Please contact your Windows Administrator in case you do not have these Administrator privileges.
