What certificates are supported?

Certipost e-Signing supports only certificates that are trustworthy and that are compliant with the requirements for Advanced Electronic Signatures equivalent to handwritten signatures. Currently Certipost e-Signing accepts the eID card (mainly for use by individuals) and Certipost Qualified certificates on SSCD (Secure Signature Creation Device, i.e. smartcard or USB Token). The Certipost certificates have the advantage for professional use that they can include the certified link of the individual to his employer. In that case Certipost e-Singing will mention the employer in the signature. This is the exhaustive list of certificates that are currently supported : eID
